Our paper on the development of a new method for elucidating the excited-state structures of organic molecules has been published in Nature Communications.

Our collaborative research with Professor Adachi’s group at Kyushu University, which led to the development of a novel method for elucidating the excited-state structure of TADF molecules, has been published in Nature Communications.

The research focused on the donor–acceptor type TADF molecule TMCz-BO and involved detailed analysis of its photoluminescence decay behavior under various temperature and solvent conditions. We successfully constructed a model capable of consistently explaining the excited-state energy structures of organic molecules, which had previously been associated with contradictions and uncertainties.

From our laboratory, Dr. Saigo and Dr. Ryu led the temperature-dependent transient absorption spectroscopy experiments, contributing to the elucidation of the temperature dependence of the excited-state dynamics of the TADF molecule.
